Motoring Matters - Guide to Drive in and out of Singapore

Before entering Singapore, please ensure you have:

	an Autopass Card with sufficient value
	valid insurance coverage for your vehicle
	valid Goods Vehicle Permit (GVP) or Public Service Vehicle Permit (PSVP) for your vehicle displayed on the front windscreen of your vehicle

Before entering the ERP-priced roads in Singapore, please ensure you have:

an In-vehicle Unit (IU) installed in your vehicle for ERP payment if the vehicle need to pass through ERP-priced roads during the ERP operating hours. (Please click here to see list of authorised IU centres)

Goods Vehicle Permit (GVP)/ Public Services Vehicle Permit (PSVP)

Before entering Singapore, you must:

apply for or renew your GVP or PSVP at the LTA office at 10, Sin Ming Drive 1^st storey counter Singapore 575701. Please note LTA office is open from 8am to 4.30pm (Mondays to Fridays) and from 8am to 12 noon (Saturdays).

After renewing your GVP or PSVP, please update the validity date in your Autopass Card at the VEP/Toll office at the Woodlands or Tuas Checkpoint or at 10, Sin Ming Drive 1st storey counter Singapore 575701.

	Costs S$10 (comprising a pre-loaded cash value of S$4 and a non-refundable card cost of S$6)
	Non-transferable as it is encoded with the particulars of the vehicle

The VEP/Tolls office located at the Arrival Zone at Woodlands or Tuas Checkpoint or at 10, Sin Ming Drive 1st storey counter Singapore 575701

Please produce your valid road tax disc, vehicle insurance certificate and GVP or PSVP when purchasing the Autopass Card.

Insert your Autopass Card into the card reader installed at the immigration booths to register your vehicle's entry and exit records. Please top up your Autopass Card in Singapore with sufficient cash value to pay the toll charges (where applicable) when you drive through the Woodlands or Tuas Checkpoint.

	You drive into Singapore without an Autopass Card for your vehicle
	You drive into Singapore without a valid GVP or PSVP for your vehicle
	You use an Autopass Card belonging to another foreign-registered vehicle in Singapore
	You did not insert your Autopass card into the card reader mounted on the immigration booth to have your vehicle's entry/exit records registered into your Autopass Card and into our system upon your entry and exit respectively
	You use a CashCard to register your entry and exit records or for VEP/Toll Payment
