The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has awarded the civil contract for the construction of East Coast Integrated Depot – the world’s first four-in-one rail and bus depot – and its reception tunnels at the value of around S$1.99 billion. In addition, three other civil contracts for the construction of Siglap and Bayshore stations along Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) and Xilin station along Downtown Line 3 Extension (DTL3e) were awarded with a total value of around S$1.31 billion. To make way for the construction, the existing Woodlands Regional Bus Interchange will be temporarily relocated from 12 March 2016, to an adjacent site along Woodlands Square. To facilitate the construction of Thomson – East Coast Line’s Outram Park Station, the current Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) gantry at Eu Tong Sen Street will be relocated about 50 metres down the road on the northbound carriageway. Works to relocate the new gantry will begin from Wednesday, 10 June 2015. For more details, please refer to the attached news release.
