The Land Transport Authority (LTA) monitors the health of the Point-to-Point transport (P2P) sector and introduces schemes to support the sector during times of need.

On 21 June 2022, the Government announced a $1.5 billion support package to provide relief for the lower-income and more vulnerable groups, including extending more help for local companies in their enterprise and workforce transformation.

In Budget 2021, the Government set aside $113 million to provide rebates for petrol and petrol-hybrid vehicles to ease the transition towards higher petrol duties. To provide further support to those who rely on their vehicles for their livelihoods, the Government provided an Additional Petrol Duty Rebate (APDR) for active drivers of petrol and petrol-hybrid taxis and PHCs, on top of their 15% road tax rebate. The APDR lasted 4 months, from May 2021 to August 2021 (both months inclusive).
