New footpath ready in Compassvale

Media Replies 19 Oct 2013

We thank Mr Goh Hock Seng for his letter, “LTA should be responsive to feedback” (ST online, 9 Oct 2013).

In March this year, Mr Goh wrote to LTA to suggest a new paved footpath in front of Block 266C, Compassvale Bow along Punggol Road to make it easier for residents to get to the main road. We agreed to his suggestion which is also in line with our overall efforts to make our road infrastructure more accessible and meet the diverse needs of different commuters.

Based on our initial projection, we communicated to Mr Goh that works for this new footpath would start in the second quarter, and completed by the third quarter of this year. However, the works were rescheduled in view of the contractor’s tight schedule, and we have updated Mr Goh with the latest information when he enquired subsequently.

This new footpath has been completed since 11 October. The shrubs along the grass verge has also been removed by NParks.

We thank Mr Goh for his patience and understanding.
