Bicycle Wheeling Ramps Trial at Overhead Bridge Across Aljunied Road

Media Replies 09 Nov 2013 road structures

We thank Mr Ong Hwee Eng for his suggestion, “Instead of ramps on bridges...” (Straits Times, 1 Nov 2013).

Mr Ong has suggested installing kerbs at overhead bridges so that it is easier for cyclists to push their bicycles up and down the overhead bridge. He will be pleased to know that LTA will be installing similar kerbs, or what we call bicycle wheeling ramps, at an overhead bridge across Aljunied Road as a trial to assess the effectiveness. Works for the trial will commence at the end of this year and complete in the first quarter of 2014.

We thank Mr Ong for her feedback.
