Prominent signs at CCTV zones

Media Replies 17 Apr 2013

We refer to Mr Bernard Tay’s letter, ‘Publicise areas monitored by CCTVs: Auto association’ in The Straits Times on 12 April 2013.

Parking restriction lines are drawn to facilitate the safe and smooth flow of traffic for all road users. To further deter illegal parking, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) will install Close Circuit Television Cameras (CCTVs) at 30 locations island-wide.

In conjunction with the CCTV installation, prominent signage advising motorists against illegal parking will be put up progressively from the second quarter of 2013. These signs are similar to those put up at the Marine Parade and Beach Road pilot sites. The locations of these CCTVs are also available on LTA website at

We thank Mr Tay for his feedback.
