LTA reviewing sheltered linkway for special school

Media Replies 19 Jul 2013

We refer to Dr Daniel Ng Peng-Keat’s letter, ‘Have sheltered walkway to special school’ (ST Online, 15 Jul)

Under LTA’s Walk2Ride programme, an additional 200km of new linkways will be constructed to provide sheltered connectivity to public amenities such as town centres, markets and schools within a 400m radius of all MRT stations.

The Rainbow Centre-Margaret Drive School is just outside of this 400m radius. Nonetheless, we will review our plans to see if we could provide the sheltered linkway to the school to make it more convenient for the children to get to the MRT station.

We thank Dr Ng for his feedback.
