No waiting at pick-up points

Media Replies 29 Nov 2014

We refer to Mr Roland Ang’s letter, “Simplify definition of 'parking'” (Straits Times, 18 Nov 2014).

Pick-up and drop-off points provided near public transport nodes are meant to facilitate immediate pick up and drop off. Hence, motorists should not wait at these bays, as this will cause unnecessary obstruction to other motorists picking up or alighting their passengers.

LTA will be putting up signs at some of these bays to remind motorists that waiting is not allowed. We urge all motorists to observe parking regulations at all times, so as to minimise obstructions and inconvenience for all road users.

We thank Mr Ang for his feedback.
