To facilitate road recovery works for an oil spillage, all five lanes at Paterson Road between the junction of Orchard Road and Orchard Boulevard, towards Paterson Hill are closed temporarily as this slippery stretch was not safe for use. Public are advised to avoid these roads. 

2. Road works are in progress and lanes will be opened to motorists progressively. All five lanes are expected to be opened to motorists by 5pm. LTA enforcement officers and engineers are on-site to help to expedite recovery works and traffic diversion.

3. To facilitate traffic flow, we have temporarily converted a portion of Paterson Road, towards Newton Road, to two way from 12 noon. This is to allow traffic from Scotts Road to continue to get towards Paterson Hill. Motorists are advised to follow the directions of wardens and police officers on site.

4. Directional and information signs have been placed in advance of the road closure area to inform and guide motorists. Information was also disseminated via LTA Traffic News, LTA’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.  Motorists are advised to drive safely and check traffic news through various LTA channels for the latest updates.
