As part of the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP), new Services 127 and 129 will be implemented on Sunday, 18 December 2016. On the same day, the routes of Services 18 and 39 will be extended to operate from the new Tampines Concourse Bus Interchange. The details are as follows:
- Service 127: New service between Tampines Central and Tampines Industrial Avenue 5 (loop)
- Service 129: New service between Tampines and Whampoa via Toa Payoh
- Services 18 and 39: Relocation to Tampines Concourse Bus Interchange
Service 127
This new service will provide a direct link between Tampines Bus Interchange and Tampines Industrial Avenue 5 via Tampines Concourse, Tampines Avenue 9 and Tampines Avenue 10. This will enhance connectivity to housing developments along Tampines Concourse and Tampines Avenue 9, and the employment centre within Tampines Wafer Fab Park.
Service 127 will operate daily from 5.30am to 11.30pm from Tampines Bus Interchange. Service 127A, which operates from Tampines Bus Interchange to Tampines Avenue 9, will operate from 11.45pm to 12.45am daily.
Service 129
This new service will operate between the new Tampines Concourse Bus Interchange and the St Michael’s Bus Terminal via Tampines Avenue 1, Bartley Road East, Bartley MRT Station, Braddell MRT Station, Toa Payoh MRT Station, Jalan Rajah and Jalan Tenteram. It will complement the rail network coverage and enhance inter-town connectivity between Tampines and Toa Payoh via the Bartley Viaduct.
The service will also provide connection to schools such as St Hilda’s Secondary School, East View Primary School and Temasek Polytechnic. It will operate daily from 5.45am to 11.30pm from both Tampines Concourse Bus Interchange and St Michael’s Bus Terminal.
Services 18 and 39
Services 18 and 39 will be extended to operate from the new Tampines Concourse Bus Interchange, which is an extension of the existing Tampines Bus Interchange. Service 18 will also call at a pair of new bus stops along Tampines Central 1, outside / opposite the Tampines Bus Interchange. The operating hours for both services remain unchanged.
