26 May 2016 – As part of the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP), new Service 46 will be implemented on Sunday, 12 June 2016. On the same day, the route of Service 26 will be amended. The details are as follows:

• Service 46: New service between Upper East Coast and Tampines via Bedok
• Service 26: Route amendment to ply Chai Chee Drive and Chai Chee Street, skipping New Upper Changi Road

Service 46

This new service will provide direct link between Upper East Coast and Tampines via Bedok South Avenue 3, Bedok North Road and Tampines Avenue 3 and provide connection to key amenities such as the Bedok Sports Complex, Block 85 Market & Hawker Centre and Tampines Swimming Complex.  It will also provide connection to schools such as Temasek Secondary School, Temasek Primary School, APSN (Katong School), St Hilda’s Primary School and Junyuan Secondary School.  It will operate daily from 6.00 am to 11.30 pm from the Upper East Coast Bus Terminal and from 6.00 am to 11.45 pm, from the Tampines Bus Interchange.

Service 26

The route of Service 26 will be amended to serve Chai Chee Drive and Chai Chee Street, calling at five pairs of new bus stops. This will enhance connectivity between Chai Chee and Kembangan MRT station, and provide better connection between Chai Chee and existing bus services along Sims Avenue / Changi Road corridor. With this amendment, Service 26 will no longer call at two pairs of existing bus stops - along New Upper Changi Road - in front of and opposite Block 32 and the Chai Chee Industrial Park (Bus Stops 84021, 84011, 84029 and 84019). Commuters travelling to the skipped bus stops can continue to take alternative Services 2, 7, 24, 25, 28, 30, 32, 33, 67 and 854. The operating hours for Service 26 remain unchanged from 5.30 am to 12.00 am daily.
