To celebrate the nation’s 51st birthday, the Land Transport Authority (LTA), in collaboration with operators SBS Transit and SMRT, launched the National Day Parade (NDP) 2016 themed trains today.
- Four trains – one each on the North-South East West Line, Northeast Line, Circle Line and Downtown line – are decked out based on this year’s NDP theme “Building our Singapore of Tomorrow”, as a contribution from the land transport industry in celebration of National Day.
- Commuters will be able to catch these specially-decorated trains starting today on the NEL and DTL, and from 18 July onwards on the NSEWL and CCL, until mid-August.
- This partnership with NDP EXCO is part of LTA’s initiative to foster positive commuter culture and improve transport experiences.
