Joint News Release by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) & SBS Transit - New Bus Service 71 to Serve Yio Chu Kang, Ang Mo Kio and Bishan

News Releases 06 Nov 2017 bus services Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP)

    As part of the five-year $1.1 billion Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP) introduced in 2012, a new Service 71 will begin operations on Saturday, 9 December 2017. With this, all 80 new bus services under the BSEP would have been launched.

Service 71 will ply between Yio Chu Kang Bus Interchange and loop around Bishan Street 11 via Yio Chu Kang Road, Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4, 3 and 1, Bishan Road and Braddell Road. It will enhance connectivity from Yio Chu Kang Road to Yio Chu Kang MRT Station, as well as from Bishan Street 11 to Bishan MRT Station. It will also provide direct connectivity from Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1, 3 and 4 to Bishan MRT Station. The service will operate daily (including public holidays) from 6.00am to 11.30pm. The Annex provides more details of the route and bus stops which Service 71 will be calling at.
