Joint Statement by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) & SMRT - Update on Train Incident at Joo Koon Station

As at 1800 hours today, there was a new walk-in case at the National University Hospital (NUH) who has since returned home. Over at the Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH), there were five new walk-in cases. Three have been discharged, while two are still being treated. NTFGH also received another new case conveyed by ambulance who is also being treated.

This brings the total number of injured to 36.

The three injured who were warded for observation yesterday remain in the care of the hospitals.

The Ministry of Transport, Land Transport Authority and SMRT are in touch with the injured passengers. Other passengers who were affected by the collision yesterday may reach out to duty officers any SMRT station (along the North-South Line, East-West Line and Circle Line) for assistance at any time. Alternatively, they may wish to call the SMRT hotline at 1800 336 8900.
