We refer to the report “Reduction in commercial vehicle COE supply could drive up premiums”, published in Lianhe Zaobao on 30 Jan 2017.

We wish to clarify that not all of the over 15,000 commercial vehicles with COEs set to expire in the first quarter of 2017 will be reaching the end of their statutory lifespan at the same time. The majority of vehicle owners therefore have the option of renewing the COEs of their vehicles. Those who need to replace their commercial vehicles are advised to make arrangements with their dealers as early as possible.
