Charge for IU replacement once warranty is over

Media Replies 09 Jun 2008 In-vehicle Unit (IU)

I refer to the letter, 'Need to pay for IU replacement?' (Shin Min Daily News, 3 June 2008) which proposed that the In-vehicle Units (IU) be replaced free when the warrantly expires.

We would like to clarify that all IUs have a 5-year warranty from the point of installation. Similar to products that come with a warranty, any IU that needs to be replaced after the 5-year warranty period, has to be paid for by the owner.
