High Speed Rail
The Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) is a strategic project between the Governments of Malaysia and Singapore. LTA’s wholly-owned subsidiary, SG HSR Pte. Ltd., will oversee the building of the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore HSR project. It will also own, fund and maintain the civil infrastructure in Singapore.
It will facilitate seamless travel between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore and cut the travel time between the two cities to 90 minutes.
On 31 May 2020, Singapore has, in the spirit of bilateral cooperation, agreed to Malaysia's proposal to extend the suspension period of the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore HSR Project by another seven months till 31 December 2020.
