What is the Punggol LRT?

The Punggol LRT was opened in 2005 to serve the residents in the Punggol township. This third LRT line (after Bukit Panjang and Sengkang) links commuters from the residential areas to Punggol MRT station on the North-East Line and the Punggol Bus Interchange.

The LRT line has 15 stations with 13 in operation to serve the more populated areas of Punggol.

Improvements to Seng Kang Punggol LRT

The Punggol LRT East Loop have been upgraded to allow two-car operations from December 2016 to meet rising ridership and run at higher capacities to better serve residents.
