2 March 2013 – A new trunk bus service - Service 4 - will be launched from Sunday, 17 March 2013. The new service will provide better connectivity for commuters travelling between Tampines and the Changi North Industrial Estate and its surrounding area. This is the seventh bus service to be rolled out under the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP).
The new service will enhance connectivity for commuters travelling between Tampines, Flora Road and Changi North Industrial Estate as well as its surrounding areas, with the service calling at eight new bus stops in the Flora and Changi North Industrial Estate. It will also enhance the connectivity to key transport nodes at Tampines Bus Interchange and MRT, where they can transfer to other bus services or rail lines to reach their destination. In addition, Service 4 will improve connection of these areas to amenities within Tampines Town such as schools and malls.
Operating daily from 6.00am to 11.30pm, Service 4 will run at a frequency of 10 minutes during peak hours and 15 minutes during off-peak periods. The service will ply along Tampines Avenue 7, Flora Road, Upper Changi Road North and Changi North Way before looping back to Tampines Bus Interchange via Tanah Merah Besar Road.
