LTA will consider adjustments

Media Replies 24 Jun 2013

We refer to Mr Cannis Pang’s letter ‘Bus lane holds up traffic’ (The New Paper, 5 June).

Our observations show that the  bus lane at Commonwealth Avenue West is necessary to speed up bus journeys along this busy stretch , especially between Clementi Avenue 6 and Avenue 4 during the peak hours.

We note Mr Pang’s feedback however that motorists joining the main traffic from Clementi Avenue 6 and those entering the slip road to Clementi Ave 4 and 5 may have difficulties filtering. We will review the situation to see if we can adjust the dotted lines to smoothen the traffic flow.

We thank Mr Pang for his feedback.
