From today till September 2023, new Passenger Information Display System (PIDS) panels will be progressively installed at 310 bus stops. The new panels are an improved version with vibrant graphics and bigger fonts and provide information that allows commuters to better plan their journeys.
New information for commuters
2 The new PIDS will display information including:
a) “Incoming Buses” – informs commuters when the next five buses are arriving.
b) “Quickest Way To” – informs commuters which bus service to take to popular destinations nearby, in the shortest time possible.
c) “Bus Arrivals by Service” – informs commuters of the arrival time of the next two buses of each service. It also indicates the destination and points of interest
along the route, such as MRT stations and hospitals.
d) “Messages” – includes travel advisories such as information on changes to bus services, rail disruptions or planned maintenance works on the MRT network.
3 For a start, five panels will be progressively installed at bus stops along Bedok Reservoir Road, Jalan Eunos, Paya Lebar Road, Serangoon Road and Sims Avenue from September 2021, before installation is carried out at more bus stops from November 2021.
