The Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2022 will take place between 30 September and 2 October 2022 around the Marina Centre and Padang area. Race organisers have made arrangements to minimise traffic disruptions and facilitate accessibility to the Marina Centre and Padang areas.
Road Closures Over Seven Days
2 Similar to past editions of the Singapore Grand Prix, road closures for the event will take place over seven days. Affected roads will close from 12.01am, 28 September for the set-up of race infrastructure, and all roads will be fully accessible by 5.30am, 4 October. To expedite traffic access, race organisers will take a phased approach and progressively re-open affected roads after the race.
Roads Open During Traffic Peak Hours

Public Transport Arrangements for Commuters
4 MRT train service hours will be extended on race days between 30 September and 2 October. Train services will be available at City Hall MRT station till 12.30am on 30 September and 1 October 2022, and till 12.45am on 2 October 2022. The operating hours for selected feeder bus services will also be extended to match the last train services.
5 Members of the public and F1 ticket holders are encouraged to use public transport to get to the Marina Centre and Padang between 28 September and 3 October 2022. Taxis are also available as an additional option. Please refer to Annex A for transport options and the nearest MRT stations to the respective F1 gates.
Vehicular Access into Marina Centre
6 On race days, 1 and 2 October, those who wish to drive can access the Marina Centre area via a single lane along Raffles Boulevard via Nicoll Highway or Temasek Boulevard (except for buses and vehicles with W, X, Y plates) from 12.00am to 1.00pm.
7 Taxis will also be able to use the single-lane access at all times, except during the hours when the races are ongoing between 1 and 2 October.
8 Traffic wardens will be deployed on site on race days to direct traffic and provide public assistance. Directional signs will also be put up in the vicinity to direct motorists. Car parks at Suntec City, Millenia Walk, and Marina Square will remain open to public. Please refer to Annex B for details of roads that will be affected by the road closures and how motorists can access Marina Bay.
