Since August 2024, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) has begun to progressively upgrade Sengkang Bus Interchange to enhance facilities for commuters and transport staff. These works include upgrading of mechanical and electrical services, concourse refurbishment and overhaul of the bus interchange driveway for waterproofing works.
2 To facilitate the next phase of works that require access to a larger area within the bus interchange, five bus services – Service 80, 86, 87, 372, and 374 – will be temporarily relocated from Sengkang Bus Interchange to the adjacent Compassvale Bus Interchange from 31 January 2026 to end October 2026. These services were selected to minimise overall inconvenience to commuters. Commuters can access both Sengkang and Compassvale bus interchanges via pedestrian crossings or a sheltered overhead bridge. Service ambassadors will be deployed during this period to assist commuters with umbrellas during rainy weather. Please refer to Annex A for details on the temporary service diversions.
3 Commuters of Services 372 and 374 can also choose to alight at a temporary bus stop along Sengkang Square, for a more direct and sheltered access to Sengkang MRT station. This temporary bus stop will be converted from the current G18 taxi and pick-up/drop-off point. This taxi stand and pick-up/drop-off point will close from 9 January 2026 for conversion works and operate as a bus stop from 31 January 2026 for the duration of the service diversion. During this period, the alternative pair of taxi and pick-up/drop-off stands (G16 and G17) along Sengkang East Way, and the pick-up/drop-off point at Compass One Shopping Mall along Sengkang Square remain available. Please refer to Annex B for the location of the temporary bus stop and alternative taxi stand and pick-up/drop-off stands.
4 LTA will continue to plan works carefully to minimise impact on commuters and provide timely updates on any further service adjustments. Commuters can reach out to the service ambassadors or public transport staff in the bus interchanges for assistance.
