Punggol Coast Bus Interchange to Open on 29 June 2025

News Releases 20 May 2025 bus interchange bus services Integrated Transport Hub (ITH)

Commuters in north-east Singapore can look forward to greater connectivity with the opening of Punggol Coast Bus Interchange (BI) on 29 June 2025. Located within Punggol Digital District, the BI is integrated with Punggol Coast MRT station on the North East Line and Punggol Coast Mall. Operated by Go-Ahead Singapore, it will be the 15th Integrated Transport Hub in Singapore.

Bus Route Amendments

2.        Operations at Punggol Coast BI will commence with Services 34 and 117/M. These two bus services will be moved from the current Punggol BI and operate from Punggol Coast BI, with their routes extended to better serve more Punggol residents. Service 34 will be extended to serve Punggol Central, Sumang Walk, Sumang Link and Punggol Way, whereas Service 117/M will be extended to ply Punggol Place, Sentul Crescent and Sentul Walk. These extensions will improve connectivity within Punggol and provide residents with direct inter-town connectivity to destinations such as Changi Airport, Tampines and Yishun. New routes and further enhancements to bus services will be implemented progressively in tandem with the completion of new developments in Punggol.

3.        We seek commuters’ understanding that our bus operators may require some time to familiarise themselves with the operations of the new BI. Bus operators, with support from LTA, will monitor operations closely and make necessary adjustments to ensure smooth journeys for commuters and road users. Information on the route extensions will be available at all relevant bus stops, bus interchanges and the respective bus operators’ websites. Please refer to the Annex for more information.

Commuter-Friendly and Other Features

4.        Punggol Coast BI has been designed with the needs of commuters in mind, incorporating inclusive features that cater to families with young children, seniors, as well as those with mobility challenges. The BI will have barrier-free access at all entrances and dedicated priority queue zones with seating at all boarding berths. Wheelchair-accessible toilets and a baby care room for parents, both equipped with touchless, auto-sliding doors, will also be available, while a commuter care room is available for those who may require a quiet and calming space.

5.        Besides commuter-friendly facilities, the BI will also include dedicated facilities for staff, such as a canteen, staff toilets, a cleaner’s room and a staff lounge. To support sustainability, the BI will incorporate energy-saving features such as LED lights, energy-efficient aircon system, water-saving taps and motion sensor lights.
