To help us understand current travel behaviour and plan for future travel needs, LTA conducts a large-scale island wide travel survey called the Household Travel Survey (HTS). HTS is conducted in Singapore every four to five years and reaches out to about 50,000 respondents across all residential areas. The survey covers information including how respondents go to work, send their children to school, and which shopping centres they frequent. We also study which transport modes are used, for example, how many respondents drive, have more than 1 car, use mostly MRT and/or mostly buses etc. This information is essential in helping LTA understand current and future travel preferences and design an inclusive land transport system.
For the very first time, LTA will be conducting the survey via a new digital platform. Designed to be intuitive to use, respondents can answer in English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil and all responses will be captured securely. LTA has appointed Affle International Pte Ltd to conduct the HTS from 2021 till 2025.

Thank you for participating in the survey. Your responses will be helpful in shaping a people-centred land transport system for all.
