SAM Contemporaries: How To Dream Worlds
By Singapore Art Museum

What does it mean to imagine a world otherwise?

How To Dream Worlds, the second edition of SAM Contemporaries, brings together six artists whose practices span installation, moving image and materially driven forms. Their works emerge from diverse concerns—body-machine intimacies, the uncovering of dominant and erased narratives, and the politics of cultivated space—each grounded in the specificities of their own research and lived experiences.

The exhibition’s title proposes a reading of these practices, approaching dreaming as a method and form of resistance, gesturing towards other ways of living, relating and perceiving from within the conditions of the now. Some works speculate on possible futures; others dwell in the traces of what was. Many attend to the present, paying close attention to the undercurrents that shape daily experience. These are not visions of utopias but propositions in motion, open-ended and continuously unfolding. Rather than offering solutions or conclusions, they linger in uncertainty and possibility.

As you move through the exhibition, you are invited to journey alongside the artists in asking what it means to imagine something otherwise. Here, dreaming is not about arriving at a final, perfected “elsewhere,” but about staying with the process—the slow, ongoing work of questioning the world as it is, and imagining what it could still be and become.

*General admission applies (Free for Singaporeans and PRs).

Learning Gallery
By Singapore Art Museum

Spark Curiosity. Rekindle Wonder. Explore contemporary art with the uninhibited spirit of a child and rediscover the joy of learning.

Established as part of Singapore Art Museum’s continued support of art education, the Learning Gallery is dedicated to the engagement and understanding of broader issues through contemporary artworks. These artworks have been specially selected from the National Collection or commissioned to extend the learning of contemporary art to all ages.

The human impulse to create and appreciate art starts in childhood. Childhood itself is a defining stage in all our lives, shaping our emotions, beliefs, and memories. Both art and childhood are universal human experiences, marked by freedom, inherent curiosity, and fearless exploration.

The Learning Gallery invites you to rediscover this childlike spirit—unburdened and unafraid to explore the unknown. In this second edition, we encourage you to look beyond the ordinary, explore possibilities even if it means venturing outside traditional boundaries, and experimenting with new ideas and materials.

The gallery features artworks that span across diverse media. They explore accessible themes of identity, home, nature and the environment, people and places, space and memory. The artworks provoke important and timely questions about life and inspire new ways of seeing and understanding contemporary art.

School groups must make a booking prior to their visit. In-gallery teaching and learning resources for the Learning Gallery are also available. Please contact learning@singaporeartmuseum.sg for enquiries and bookings.

*Free admission.

Hello Future: Sharing Our Journey Together
By Singapore Art Museum

What are our shared experiences as a nation—and what are our hopes for the future?

This exhibition invites you to explore these questions through the eyes of preschool children.

Hello Future: Sharing Our Journey Together is part of the Think! Contemporary Preschool programme, presented by Singapore Art Museum (SAM) in collaboration with 24 preschools across Singapore—a significant increase from the eight schools that were involved in the previous edition.

Through this programme, contemporary art becomes a gateway for young children to explore and make sense of the world around them. The children were introduced to exhibitions at SAM at Tanjong Pagar Distripark, including the Learning Gallery and Seeing Forest by Robert Zhao Renhui, Singapore's representative at the Venice Biennale 2024. The artworks presented issues of our time and reflect the themes of Singaporean identity, community and our changing environment.

In response, the children began to see Singapore as not just a country, but a shared space full of stories, memories and possibilities. Guided by their teachers and inspired by contemporary art, the children channelled their understanding into expressive artworks and stories.

Join us and see how our youngest voices view our past, present and future: imagining Singapore as a community where we share, care and create together.

*Free admission.

TUESDAY RUNS WITH HAPPY PACE CLUB
By The Pace, Happy Pace Club

Every Tuesday, The Pace brings together two running crews with distinct styles and one shared love for movement — The High Panters (THP), pioneers of urban running and culture, and Happy Pace Club, an all-female crew creating safe and inclusive spaces through running.

Run with Happy Pace Club, possibly Singapore’s first all-female run crew, every Tuesday from The Pace at Funan.

Founded three years ago, the club was created to provide a safe, welcoming space for women to come together and run – just as they are.

Today, Happy Pace Club remains an intimate and inclusive community, hosting weekly runs from our home base at Funan. Sessions typically feature easy runs lasting 40–50 minutes, with occasional strength workouts added in.

Whether you're a seasoned runner or just getting started, all are welcome.

TUESDAY RUNS WITH THE HIGH PANTERS
By The Pace, The High Panters

Every Tuesday, The Pace brings together two running crews with distinct styles and one shared love for movement — The High Panters (THP), pioneers of urban running and culture, and Happy Pace Club, an all-female crew creating safe and inclusive spaces through running.

The High Panters (THP), celebrating their 13th year, are one of Singapore’s original urban run crews. Known for their unsanctioned races and strong community focus, THP channels all race fees and merch sales toward causes they care about—most recently, supporting a Chiang Mai home that empowers underprivileged girls with shelter, food, and education.

Post-COVID, THP launched Host Your Hood sessions—neighbourhood run tours led by crew members, aligned with the We Can Finally Dance vision of greener, healthier, and more vibrant cities. These runs uncover hidden gems and stories tucked away in everyday places—parks, backstreets, and landmarks—culminating in a hearty makan at a local spot. Because parks are the heart of our neighbourhoods, and Singapore is far from boring.

Whether you're a curious first-timer or a seasoned runner, lace up and join the crew — everyone’s welcome on the journey.
