The Annual SHE Award Convention (ASAC), inaugurated in 1999, recognises our contractors, public transportation operators and partners that are proactive and successful in promoting safe work practices at their work sites; ensure high standards for safety, health and welfare of the workers; and give due consideration to protecting the public and the environment.
Annual Safety Award Convention
A total of 50 contractors were honoured for their excellent workplace safety and health practices in 2019. Lum Chang Building Contractors Pte Ltd was presented with the top award and the LTA Contractors Challenge Shield for its work on the existing Tanah Merah Station and existing viaducts for the Thomson-East Coast Line.
