Career Onboarding for Railway Engineers (CORE) Programme
The CORE programme is suitable for individuals who are either considering or starting a career in the public transport (rail) industry. The foundation module provides the knowledge that are essential in the planning and design of public transport systems. Individuals will also be able to learn about the regulations in order to provide a safe, efficient and reliable mass rapid transit system in Singapore.
Programme Objectives
- Appreciate the commuter-centric planning and development of the Singapore rapid transit system
- Understand the railway asset ownership between the public transport operators (PTO) and LTA, as well as the regulatory and licensing frameworks
- Understand the roles of the PTOs
- Learn the meaning and values of the roles in the industry
Who Should Attend
- Fresh graduates from the tertiary institutions
- Individuals who are considering or doing a mid-career switch from non-railway sectors and recently hired by the PTO or LTA
- Engineers, technicians and executives who are considering a career in the public transport (rail) industry
