TEL3 Hits the City: Get fed, get fit and overall, feel fab!

Here’s what to expect with the launch of 11 stations lining the way from Stevens all the way to Gardens by the bay.

Ready yourself for a new ride! Thomson-East Coast Line 3 (TEL3), which extends from Stevens to Gardens by the Bay is paving the way to shorter commuting times, increased transport choices, and a huge variety of lifestyle activities.

We know… you might already have your list of favourite haunts along Orchard Road or the CBD, and be familiar with existing transport nodes like Outram Park station, Orchard Road station and Marina Bay station—but why not let these new routes shake you out of your one-track mind and give you more motivation to explore?

Seek respite from the city at Napier and Marina Bay

With the new Napier station just minutes from Singapore Botanic Gardens’ Tanglin Gate, you now have easy access to the oldest part of this UNESCO heritage site. There is something for everyone - heritage lovers can learn more about the Garden’s history through the multimedia exhibitions at the SBG Heritage Museum, while those keen to rejuvenate and be one with nature might prefer to stroll along Swan Lake to enjoy the lush greenery and tranquil waters.

Take in fresh views of Marina One, which is just a short walk from both Marina Bay and Shenton Way stations. This hidden gem is a great place for some laid back views with tons of greenery. Check out the fountain for some insta-worthy shots amongst all that green!

Family-friendly outings from Orchard to Havelock

You’re probably pretty familiar with the malls around Orchard station, but with Orchard Boulevard, Great World and Havelock stations added to the mix, stand-by your wallets as shopping options for the family abound!

Make those calories count at the CBD

The CBD offers as much food as it does fitness options. So leverage the convenience of Maxwell and Shenton Way stations to get fit, get fed, and overall, feel fab!

Was your New Year’s resolution to start exercising? The CBD is a great place to start. Whether you need to stretch it out with yoga, or crave an adrenaline-pumping dose of cardio or strength work—you name it, and the CBD has got it. And now, with these new stations bringing you even closer of many of these outlets, you’ve got no excuse to skip legs day!

Get fed at hawkers and high-end restaurants

Easier access to Maxwell Food Centre, Amoy Street Food Centre, Duxton Hill and Ann Siang Hill is definitely a highlight of these stations. Wrap up your work day by indulging in a delicious plate of your favourite, affordable hawker dish, a shot of sake, pint of beer, Italian, Japanese, French or Asian cuisine—the options are limitless.

With the new TEL3, now you can just hop on the MRT instead of making the long trek from the main CBD centre.

Easier access to Gardens by the Bay

Spanning 101 hectares, Gardens by the Bay will take you ages to explore on foot! Now with Gardens by the Bay station joining the existing Bayfront station, you’ve got even easier access to the Supertree Grove, Cloud Forest, Serene Garden or especially the nearby Marina Barrage.

Take a leisurely stroll from the Bay South exit and have some weekend fun by cycling or skating with your family and friends. Did you know? Gardens by the Bay station has the most number of bicycle parking lots along TEL3 too!
