LTA UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP
(FULL-TERM AND MID-TERM)

The LTA Undergraduate Scholarship is awarded to students who have strong leadership qualities and values as well as a passion for building up Singapore’s land transport sector. Scholars will be able to pursue their undergraduate studies in some of the best universities, both locally and overseas. 
 


LTA OVERSEAS UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP
(NON-ENGLISH SPEAKING COUNTRIES)

As an LTA scholar, you may pursue an Engineering degree in non-English speaking countries such as France, Germany and Japan. At LTA, we welcome this diversity of talents to bring fresh perspectives and ideas to build up our transport system of tomorrow. 
 


LOCAL STUDY AWARD
(FULL-TERM AND MID-TERM)

As an LTA Local Study Award Holder, you can look forward to a fulfilling career in developing Singapore’s land transport sector. Upon graduation, you can look forward to opportunities to work with cutting-edge technology on mega infrastructure projects. The award is tenable for full time undergraduate studies in our local universities. 
 


LAND TRANSPORT MASTERS SCHOLARSHIP

The Land Transport Masters Scholarship is offered to individuals who are keen to pursue a career in Land Transport and in specialised fields of studies. Candidates should already have or be expected to graduate with a good honours degree.

LTA Undergraudate Scholarship

(Full-term and Mid-term)

 

  • Singapore citizen, or Singapore Permanent Residents who take up Singapore citizenship before departure for studies
  • Outstanding leadership qualities and a keen passion for Singapore’s land transport sector
  • Excellent Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) records
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent GCE A’ Level/ NUS High Diploma / International Baccalaureate (IB) /Polytechnic Diploma results or equivalent Outstanding University results (for current undergraduates)

Full-term scholarship:
Scholars will be required to serve a 4 to 6-year bond with LTA, depending on whether you choose to study locally or abroad.

Mid-term scholarship:
Scholars will be required to serve a 1-year bond with LTA for every year of study sponsored locally, or a 1.5-year bond with LTA for every year of study sponsored abroad.

Scholars will also be required to undergo a compulsory attachment of at least 8 weeks with LTA.

How To Apply?

Those interested in an LTA Scholarship should submit an application online via the BrightSparks website. The online application opens on 1 November and closes 3 weeks after the release of the ‘A’ Level results. You are encouraged to submit your application as early as possible during the application window.

The Beacon Scholarship is an umbrella talent development programme within the Ministry of Transport (MOT) comprising The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), Land Transport Authority (LTA) And Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). Under the Beacon Scholarship, you can look forward to the prospect of pursuing a career in the Ministry of Transport and its agencies, with the possibility of inter-agency postings.
