These are the 13 selected outlets:

Spreading Thoughtful Messages throughout the Year

7     Following a successful run to 12 schools in the last season (from Jan-Mar 2017) the Thoughtfulness musical – a 30-minute performance reminding commuters the benefits of being thoughtful and create a pleasant ride for all – will run for another season starting from October 2017. With a new theme song, the Thoughtfulness musical is set to bring more fun and laughter to the students. Schools interested in this programme can register their interest at LTA-Happenings@LTA.gov.sg. Limited sessions available.

8     As part of our engagement with students, LTA will be collaborating with students from St Margaret’s Secondary School to design train hangers and remind public of thoughtful behaviours. These five versions of hangers deliver thoughtfulness messages in a comic style and will be available to the public to learn about thoughtful behaviour on trains from October 2017.

9     The public can stand to win attractive prizes by participating in a series of online contests to be rolled out on LTA’s We Keep Your World Moving Facebook Page between 27 July and end-August 2017.

About the Graciousness Programme

The Land Transport Authority began the Graciousness programmes for public transport in 2009 to promote acts of thoughtful behaviour on public transport such as giving up seats, queuing orderly and moving in for a more pleasant commute.

The five Thoughtful Characters, known as the Thoughtful Bunch, were introduced in 2014, profiling thoughtful commuting by depicting the best in all of us. They are:

  • Stand-Up Stacey: She is the thoughtfulness in you who gives up her seat to those who need it more.
  • Give-Way Glenda: She is the thoughtfulness in you who queues and lets others alight first.
  • Move-In Martin: He is the thoughtfulness in you who moves in so that others can board.
  • Hush-Hush Hannah: She is the thoughtfulness in you who keeps her volume down so others can enjoy a quieter ride.
  • Bag-Down Benny: He is the thoughtfulness in you who puts his bag down so others have more room.
